Delete your account
You can delete your Floth account at any time, and you do not need to ask us to do it. Deletion is permanent — there is no recovery window and no way for us to restore it afterwards.
In the app — the quickest way
Open Floth, go to Profile → Account → Delete account, and confirm. Your account and your personal data are removed straight away. You will be signed out on every device, and if you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple to disconnect Floth from your Apple ID so it no longer appears in your list of connected apps.
If you cannot get into the app
Email [email protected] from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you, delete the account, and write back to confirm — normally within a few days, and within one month at the latest, as UK GDPR requires. You do not need to give a reason, and we will not try to talk you out of it.
What is deleted
Everything personal to you: your profile, nickname, photo and bio; your sessions, streaks and totals; your messages; anything synced from Apple Health or Health Connect; your saved places and favourites; your notification token; and your sign-in credentials. None of it is archived, and none of it is retained in a backup we can search.
What is kept, and why
A small number of records survive with your name removed from them, because deleting them would harm somebody else or break a legal obligation. In each case what remains is not identifiable as you.
Reports you made about someone else. A moderation report must not disappear because the person who made it left. Otherwise anyone could erase the evidence against them by deleting their account and signing up again. The report stays; your name comes off it.
Bookings and payouts. Financial records have to survive for accounting and tax, so they are kept without you attached to them.
Sessions you hosted. The session stays in other people’s history, because it is their record too. It simply no longer has a host.
Gyms or charities you managed. The organisation outlives whoever was administering it. Your link to it is removed.
Your other rights
Deleting is not your only option. You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or object to how we use it — all at [email protected]. If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
